Overview

The Sales Manager will identify, approach and sell the award-winning PleaseCycle solutions to clients both in the UK and Europe.

Background Info

A Sales Manager is required to join the rapidly growing team at PleaseCycle – an innovative and entrepreneurial company using technology to get more people cycling.

With a rapidly growing corporate- and public sector client-base, PleaseCycle provides a technology solution that rewards, incentivizes and tracks increases in cycling over the course of the contract. We have grown organically to 6 people in the last 24 months, got international clients, external investment, and are now looking for the next person(s) to join our rapidly growing team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Sales – selling our product is not difficult. We need someone who is personable and innovative enough to identify, then approach, the right contacts in large corporates and explain our product. Frequently, we find that a ‘warm’ approach is best, utilizing CSR and employee engagement networks.
  • Ongoing account management – forge strong relationships with ongoing operational stakeholders (‘cycle champions’) so as to continuously drive utilization of the CycleHub. Identify product improvements and communicate to the Account Director and Technical team.
  • Marketing – identify the best possible routes in which to market our product and manage this, cradle-to-grave.

 

Skills and Experience required

As with any professional services organization, PleaseCycle’s success depends on it’s client-facing staff being professional, friendly, selling what is feasible, delivering what was sold and capable of building strong relationships. The Sales Manager will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Ability to sell the product and your skills so as to appear credible at all times
  • Experience in sales, sometimes cold-calling, but able to identify and leverage networking events and establishing strategic alliances would be vital
  • Able to forge and build relationships at a senior level
  • Driven individual with a proven track record of picking something up and running with it, creatively defining the solution for an agreeable outcome. There is no ‘right’ way to get the outcome required as every client differs.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task across multiple clients – project management experience highly desirable
  • Experience and desire to work in an unstructured environment without close management where The Directors can trust your autonomy to deliver
  • Degree qualified is mandatory
  • Interest in technology and cycling would be beneficial

PleaseCycle is growing exponentially, about to launch new products into the market and has received major funding, as well as expanding globally. We are not simply looking for a Sales Manager to sit in the same role for their ‘career’ with us. We want to find an ambitious individual with entrepreneurial flair to create the next product, or enhance the current offering. 

We need someone who wants the opportunity to get new experiences in a highly entrepreneurial environment, as their desire requires, perhaps moving into new areas with time, such as marketing, to handle some of the finance, manage a small team of account handlers, technical design – as you wish and can prove you have the capability.

Located/ hours: PleaseCycle’s London offices – just off Oxford Circus.
