as snackers, we faced a dilemma – we craved delicious, but knew we should choose healthier. what we were looking for just didn’t existing in the snack aisle. so we went to work. and after a lot of research (snacking), we found a way to pop a chip that had all the flavour and less of the fat and other stuff that gives snacking a bad name. and that’s how we discovered the magic of popping a chip. we were so excited about popchips, we couldn't keep them to ourselves. so we shared with our fellow snackers, and popchips quickly became one of the fastest growing snack brands in america. apparently the word (and bag) got out in the u.k. and now we’re here working with some of the best retailers and spreading the popchips love.

it’s no surprise that the media and bloggers are continuing to take notice as popchips gain acclaim (and awards) for our innovative line of crisps, including being named by ad age as one of america’s hottest brands, and best chips/snacks by shape, men’s health, real simple and health magazines (see

new role - business development manager:

popchips are now looking for a talented and passionate sales person to join as business development manager and help lead the launch and growth of popchips in the uk.

the ideal candidate will have proven sales experience and understand the greater london and south east market.

key responsibilities include:

  • helping to manage and execute the company’s plan to accelerate the distribution of popchips key channels and accounts, including independents, food service and distributor served chains, throughout London and the UK;  
  • building and maintaining relationships with the distributor sales-force, management, operations and office staff 
  • educating and training distributors on popchips by attending sales meetings and spending time out in the field with them 
  • ensuring proper execution of all promotional activities at store level – including: communication with retailer management, securing & building displays, planogram execution, and placement of point of sale 
  • participating in sales blitzes in order to achieve market development goals

summary of experience/qualifications:

  • a minimum of 2 - 3 years sales experience ideally in the food and beverage industry (experience in the salty snack category and/or working with food & drink distributors is a plus)
  • demonstrated success selling into the free-trade channel of distribution (experience in the food service channel is a plus)
  • excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills, including high level of competence with microsoft office (excel, powerpoint, word and outlook)
  • bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent work experience
  • a sense of humour, a passion for working hard toward a common goal, a thrill for building a brand, and, of course, a love for snacking
