ProgressWay is about making public services great by drawing out the collective intelligence and creativity of those who use them or work in them.

The PROGRESS model enables organisations to focus on the real needs of service users, rather than on pursuing targets that are only proxy indicators of those needs. 

James Park, the organisation's founder, has been developing the model through work with schools in England over the past 10 years. He now wants to build an organisation that can take the work out to other public service organisations across Europe, and even further. 

To make the vision fly, he's looking a partner who has the management skills needed to ensure the organisation operates effectively, as well as a deep understanding of sales, marketing and communication more generally. 

You'll be someone who's interested in working collaboratively to develop a strategy that leads to the adoption by policymakers of the PROGRESS accountability model, and a business plan that will ensure the organisation can achieve its goals. Although we're setting up as a charity initially, there may be opportunities to develop a commercial operation to run alongside. 

Among the things you will be responsible for will be:

  1. Recruiting and managing Board members who have experience of communications, marketing, lobbying and fundraising.
  2. Securing core funding from trusts, individuals and the community.
  3. Using social media and events to engage people in the wider community with a potential to be interested in what we do.
  4. Finding opportunities for presentations to policymakers and people with influence.
  5. Securing wide uptake by schools of the PROGRESS Diagnostic, in its free and premium varieties as well as the consultancy offer; and by other sectors as PROGRESS becomes available.
