We are a social enterprise- a travel company with a difference- we provide local experiences to travellers through volunteering oppoertunities in India.
We are looking to expand our current team who look after the projects in Kerala and assist in developing the programs and managing volunteers who are joining us. Our volunteers mainly come from UK or USA and sometimes AUS.
We dont like to give titles to roles but its necessary and this role is called 'program coordinator'
We are looking out for a new project coordinator-
-- individuals who are hardworking, creative, self-driven and who like to have fun..As part of a growing organization you will have plenty of opportunity to develop your career as far as you can. This is in no way a 9 to 5 job and you will be working, thinking and inspiring everyone and getting inspiration from volunteers to our local project partners all the time.
Your role will be based in Fort Kochi, Kerala in South India.This is an amazing quaint little town with a huge arts scene and really bohomian in nature. So location wise its all that you would want.
You will be reporting to the local Program Director of Rainbow and be responsible for the day to day running of the programs.You will help in developing the projects and programs and initiating new ideas for growth.
You will also be managing and reporting health and safety issues to the Program Director.
Your role will involve managing program participants whilst in India and arranging all the trip specifications.
You must be responsible for maintaining accounts and marketing material.
Training and support will be provided. A minimum 3 months commitment is required.
* Previous work experience with an NGO or community based volunteering will be useful
* Must be a peoples person
*Interest to live and work in India
*Must be fluent in English and its always helpful if you can speak in Hindi, or Malayalam
*Must be able to work independantly
*Must be good with technical computer skills especially basic Office programs like word, excel, and powerpoint
*Must be creative and willing to take the initiative
*Must be passionate to work with children
