Do you want to get a start-up company off the ground?  Do you want to work for a socially conscious enterprise?  Do you like the sound of tackling a big challenge?

We are now looking for a new team member to turn our vision into reality.  If you are a marketing communications expert with an entrepreneurial spirit, who fancies a change and is willing to inform and contribute to all aspects of a business, then this could be the job for you.

About our world

David Cameron described dementia this year as “one of the greatest challenges of our time”.  Worldwide there are more than 36 million people living with dementia, 820,000 of which live in the UK alone.  In 2010, dealing with dementia cost the world £380 billion.  That’s 1% of global GDP.  In the UK, annual expenditure on dementia is £23 billion, a figure projected to increase to £50 billion by 2040.  This is a sum of immense proportions that brings with it novel opportunities for socially conscious enterprise.

Red and Yellow Care is a dynamic start-up company with a vision to provide innovative world-class dementia care services.   In an industry set to be one of the fastest growing sectors over the coming decades, there are, as yet, no organisations to emerge with a truly holistic approach.  Our aim is to change this.

About you

As Marketing Communications Manager, you will be a key part of the team.  You will be responsible for developing and implementing all external and internal communications for Red and Yellow Care. This will include:

  • devising creative communication strategies and campaigns, delivering Red & Yellow Care’s key messages to our target groups and driving brand growth;
  • identifying and utilising a broad range of promotional channels, both online and offline;
  • developing all offline communication materials by executing or overseeing design, copywriting, production and distribution;
  • developing all online communication by executing or overseeing design, copywriting and implementation;
  • monitoring, analysing and optimising all communication channels and campaigns;
  • optimising brand design and ensuring consistent on-brand implementation;
  • ensuring consistent messaging in marketing communications and public relations;
  • delivering projects and campaigns on time and within budget; and
  • working with and effectively managing agencies.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing communications.  You will need to hit the ground running.
  • Have proven experience of developing and implementing marketing communication strategy and rolling out numerous marketing communication campaigns.
  • Have expert knowledge of below the line marketing, online marketing, content management, copywriting and editing and public relations.
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and take initiative.  Our concept is unique; our vision is to stand out in the grey dementia landscape and to fight the stigma surrounding memory issues by creating bold and eye-catching concepts that inspire people and spark new conversations.
  • Be autonomous and confident in the decisions that you make.  We think big, start small and move fast.
  • Have a broad skill set.  We are a small and dynamic team and you will need to get involved and apply your skills across the board.
  • Have exceptional organisational skills.  You will have tight budgets and deadlines.

It goes without saying that you are hardworking and highly motivated.

What we are offering

  • The chance to be part of the gestation of a ground breaking company.
  • A competitive package including equity.
  • A lively and enjoyable working environment.  We believe that working hard and having fun go hand in hand.
  • Part-time (3 days a week).
