Red and Yellow Care is a dynamic start-up company with a vision to provide innovative world-class dementia care services.  In an industry set to be one of the fastest growing sectors over the coming decades, there are, as yet, no organisations to emerge with a truly holistic approach.  Our aim is to change this.

We are currently looking to grow our team – a team made up of people who have all ‘escaped the city’ in one way or another be it from investment banking, corporate institutions, the magic circle or even the NHS.

 

About you

If you are a Chartered Accountant, with an entrepreneurial spirit, who fancies a change and is willing to inform and contribute to all aspects of a business, then this could be the job for you.

You must:

  • Be great with numbers 

  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to use your own initiative.  Our concept is unique and will change the face of the Third Age Industry

  • Be autonomous and confident in the decisions that you make.  You will be taking a key role

  • Have a wide skill set including project management.  We are small and dynamic which means getting involved and applying your skills across the board

  • Have an interest in a role that will cover a number of different disciplines.  Unknown to most, the care industry incorporates a range of disciplines including marketing, design, property, finance, economics and healthcare, to name just a few

  • Like the sound of tackling a challenge.  And by this we do not mean any challenge.  David Cameron described dementia this month as “one of the greatest challenges of our time”

It goes without saying that you are hardworking, highly motivated and able to work in a small team.

 

About the role

As Finance Manager, you will be a key part of the team.  You will be responsible for managing all finance processes for this fast growing start-up company, including:

  • Analysing and managing the company’s business decisions to ensure all plans are financially viable and compliant with finance and tax legislation
  • Devising, updating and improving clear financial models which forecast all balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow movements for parts of our business and proposed projects

  • Producing information for potential and current investors and demonstrating investor returns under a number of scenarios

  • Working as the key contact with large scale corporate finance firms and institutional investors

  • Managing the on-going finance functions of the group – management and financial accounting, payroll, accounts payable, tax and VAT reporting

  • Presenting financial information and accounts to the Board, shareholders and other stakeholders
