The company is experiencing exciting growth and is looking for a Marketing Manager who can plan and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns that will enhance its brands and drive revenue. They will lead all aspects of School for Start-ups marketing, which will include launching new programmes and campaigns, overseeing our PR and digital agencies, and line managing a junior marketing person.    This is a highly empowered position reporting directly into the two Programme Directors. The right person for this role will be dynamic and ambitious, with 3 to 5 years’ marketing experience in a role where they can really demonstrate results; they will now be looking for a job where they can lead the marketing independently in a role that can grow with them.   What will the role involve?  Being part of a startup can mean you’re often doing a million things at once but for the most part the role will involve:
  • Being responsible for;
    • Creating and delivering effective marketing plans that build awareness of the School for Startups programmes against a set budget;
    • Delivering the marketing plans for all School for Startups Programmes so that they hit their sign up targets, across multiple channels, including partner channels, online content, social media, PR, Advertising (print, digital, radio), direct mail / print distribution, and promotional events;
o   Managing agencies to help deliver the School for Startups marketing plans; o   Identifying marketing and partner opportunities and making them happen; o   Working closely with partners to incorporate their needs and building mutually beneficial relationships with them on-going;
  • Defining clear implementation plans for day-to-day marketing activities (web content, blog content, social media);
o   Tracking and analysing results for all marketing activities, and recommending improvements ongoing; o   Managing the marketing budget, and making recommendations to improve efficiency.
  • Working closely with the MD (Doug Richard) and reporting directly into the Programme Directors.
  • Line managing and developing a junior marketing person;
o   Contributing to the S4S marketing strategy development, and provide an informed marketing voice to the management team.   Who are we looking for? You’ll have...
  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ marketing experience - ideally with a impactful brand;
  • Experience managing some or all of our marketing channels (online content, social media, PR, Advertising (print, PPC, radio), direct mail / print distribution, promotional events).
  • Some experience working with partners and building campaigns around these;
  • Experience managing a budget and analysing data to make recommendations;
  • Some experience of £100k+ budget campaign planning and marketing strategy.
