The role will involve developing and implementing a sales, marketing and PR strategy for a new adventure travel start-up. It will also involve taking charge of client interaction for the company. At times, you may be asked to cover other areas of responsibility for short periods. This is a fantastic opportunity for a young, dynamic individual with energy to be allowed to use their initiative and have a real impact on an exciting new company. The position will be initially based at home with regular face to face meetings.

Key responsibilities:

  • PR Strategy and implementation.
  • Marketing Strategy and implementation.
  • Business to business development
  • Client interaction

Suitable candidates  will have at least two years background in PR and Marketing, ideally, but not essentially, in the travel industry. You will be full of ideas and have a proven ability to implement them. You will have a creative eye. You will be well travelled. You must demonstrate a passion for what we do and have a track record of working unsupervised and using your initiative. You need to be forward thinking and ready to break the mould.   

Cover letter with CV.
CVs must be accompanied by a cover letter. This must include recommendations, in no more than 500 words, on how Secret Compass can improve its social media strategy.

Interviews.
Interviews will take place in London 16-18 April with a starting date 1 May (flexible for the right candidate). 

Contract.
Initial one month probation followed by 3 month contract. Candidate will be treated as self employed and invoice SC for services provided.

Future incentive.
If the four month probation period goes well there is the opportunity to move to a longer contract.

Pay.
Will depend on the candidate’s experience. (20-28K per annum).

Detailed job description.

PR. Review and implement the SC PR strategy. Other responsibilities include:

·            Developing and maintaining relationships with journalists.

·            Designing and issuing press packs and press releases.

·            Conceptualising, developing and managing SC events.

Design and Marketing. Review and implement the SC Marketing strategy. Other responsibilities include:

·            Social media strategy.

·            Communities strategy.

·            Website copy and content.

·            Dossier copy and content.

·            Photo and video content.

·            Newsletters

Sales. Review and implement Sales strategy.

·            Responsible for all stages of client interaction, from initial enquiry through to booking.

·            Developing business to business links.
