Shining Life Children’s Trust is a small charity undertaking community development projects in Sri Lanka. Our aim is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children. Through working with families and the communities in which they live we aim to build a sustainable and brighter future for the children. We are currently looking to recruit new Trustees to join the existing Board to:

  • Direct the work of Shining Life in Sri Lank
  • Ensure the charity is well governed
  • Be an ambassador for the Trust ensuring that sufficient funds are raised to guarantee the continuation of our work.

We are interested in hearing from anyone who has a passion in leading this type of work in Sri Lanka and would like to join our dynamic and dedicated group of Trustees. We are particularly interested in recruiting people who:

  • Have a network with the Sri Lankan community in the UK
  • Have fundraising skills.
You will need to be able to attend our Trustee meetings, held every six weeks, during the evenings in central London and demonstrate a commitment to the work of Shining Life Children’s Trust.

As we do not employ any staff in England all Trustees are very active in the management of the Trust. However, through sharing the roles this is not too onerous on any one individual. We anticipate the commitment to be approximately 6 hours a month.
