Social Finance is a pioneering organisation set up five years ago to develop more sustainable funding streams for social sector organisations. We support social organisations to raise and deploy capital; we work with government to deliver social change; and we develop social investment markets and opportunities. Our work to date has involved the development of new financial products, such as the Social Impact Bond, a social impact Venture Capital Trust and Global Social Impact Fund of Funds.

Social Finance is now developing a fund management function, the first fund of which will focus on improving health and social care services.

Through our work to date, we have built deep knowledge and experience of in health and social care. We have identified a vibrant pipeline of investment propositions among the large and growing social enterprise sector and believe there exists an exciting opportunity to raise and manage a health and social care sector-focused fund.

By bringing investment support to organisations in this sector, we believe there is the prospect of achieving both financial returns and significant social impact, improving the health and wellbeing of some of our most vulnerable groups, such as the frail elderly, those with long term health conditions and those with physical or learning disabilities.

We have significant interest from a potential cornerstone investor in this fund and we are now seeking an outstanding individual to join our entrepreneurial teamto lead the fund’s development. The ideal candidate will have experience of investment management in a private equity or venture capital environment and is looking for a new challenge of helping to develop the social investment asset class where your financial and commercial skills can be applied to make a tangible social impact.
