Major Responsibilities:

  • General administration duties including preparing meeting materials, preparing reports, booking meetings/conference rooms and coordinating EVP calendar, T&E expense admin., booking travel, bill processing, note taking, mailings, PowerPoint presentations etc.
  • Work with marketing operations group to create and update marketing documents on a regular basis including title management, tip sheets, marketing meeting sheets, managing seasonal meeting schedule as it pertains to marketing, tracking co-op. Access individual sales & marketing reports and create weekly overview with analysis. Create and update seasonal release schedule broken down by month and week.
  • Support creative and advertising department with various tasks including routing creative for approvals, helping collect and analyze ad campaign results etc.


Required Skills / Knowledge:

  • Work collaboratively across groups; good communication skills and courteous with authors and outside vendors; capable of shifting priorities for immediate needs of direct report; sets high standards for his/her performance; uses time efficiently; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks effectively; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; displays creativity.


Experience Needed:

  • Some experience in publishing or related field is a major plus
  • Skilled on both Mac and PC and very familiar with Microsoft Office required. Very strong powerpoint and Excel skills a significant plus. HTML and other basic web coding skills a benefit.
