At Street Child, we are very proud of our volunteer-based approach. Our smallLondonteam provides strategic oversight for the programme work inSierra Leone, focuses on fundraising and communications for the development and expansion of Street Child, and provides administrative and other support for the work inSierra Leoneand beyond. We are very lucky to have some fantastic volunteers committed to our cause, and we are now looking for an outstanding individual to undertake a Community Fundraiser internship. The job will be busy and diverse offering you the opportunity to shape your own experience here according to your skills, goals and knowledge, and we will do our best to support you in your career development.
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- Experience in working with young people and / or schools.
- Excellent communication skills; confident in cold calling and presenting to different audiences of varying age.
- A creative individual, able to develop new resources and ideas for children and young people.
- Incredibly organised and good at time management.
- A proactive and professional approach;
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team;
- A keen interest in charity and development.
