Street Child

Our goal is to help create opportunities through education for some of the most vulnerable children in the world. We work directly with street children in their own environment towards reunification with their families, reintroduction to education & the creation of a sustainable home-life for their ongoing upbringing. From 2010 to 2012 we helped more than 10,000 children gain access to education.

Seeking outgoing individuals to be Community Challenge Leaders across the UK for an innovative, young charity.

Street Child is a UK based charity that runs programmes across West Africa and has established itself as a leading organisation providing quality and sustainable education to thousands of children.

At Street Child, we are very proud of our volunteer-based approach that has enabled us to inspire thousands of supporters in the UK, helping many thousands more children in Africa. We are seeking motivated individuals to be Community Challenge Leaders to establish and lead challenge teams to fundraise for our critical work.

Street Child’s fundraising team will arm our Challenge Leaders with all the tools they need to inspire new volunteers and teams. This includes ideas and resources to motivate new supporters to join our 50 Quid Challenge.

If you were given £50 - how would you turn it into £1000 to help some of the most vulnerable children in the world?

As a Challenge Leader you will enthuse your teams of volunteers to raise as much money as they can from their £50 whilst engaging others to take on the challenge and giving away as many £50 notes as possible!

Our volunteer leaders have the following skills/characteristics/experience:

  • Confident
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Organised
  • Wide ranging social network
  • Creative and an idea maker
  • Sufficient time to invest in this role
  • Desire to help some of the world’s neediest children

If you want to make a difference and get involved in a truly innovative and inspiring challenge – this is position could be perfect for you!  With flexible working hours and the opportunity to build new skills (as well as polish old ones!) we would love to hear from you!  This position is not office based and can be undertaken from anywhere across the UK.
