Street Child is a charity working in West Africa that is dedicated to empowering some of the most vulnerable children in the world by giving them the chance to go to school and giving their families the means to keep them there.
Street Child started 5 years ago in one location with 4 social workers and 100 street children. Now, we are working in over 30 regions in Sierra Leone and have recently spread our mission to Liberia. Since its launch in 2008, Street Child has reunited 2,500 street children with their families and created educational opportunities for more than 20,000 children.
At Street Child we are very proud of our volunteer-based approach, which plays a vital role in the continued expansion of this dynamic charity.
Street Child Commercial is a chain of commercial initiatives providing a major source of funding for Street Child projects throughout Sierra Leone. An exciting opportunity has arisen at the The Clubhouse - Street Child Commercial's flagship venue - for the right individual to join the Street Child team in the form of Unit Manager of The Clubhouse in Makeni, Northern Sierra Leone.
The Unit Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the Clubhouse Bar and Restaurant. This includes overseeing staff, monitoring stock and cash levels and restocking. You will also be required to ensure quality of service and facilities for customers are of the highest standards whilst identifying areas for improvement.
