Street Child is a leading UK based charity that provides quality and sustainable education programmes to thousands of children across Sierra Leone and Liberia.

 Street Child runs two programmes:

  • 1. ‘No Child Left Behind’ delivers high impact projects to reduce the number of children dependent on the nation’s streets and reintegrates them into family life and school.
  • 2. ‘Every Child in School’ focuses on providing first time education to rural communities giving them their first ever school and teacher training. ECiS aims to prevent children in rural villages migrating to urban centres and ending up dependent on the street for survival.

All of Street Child’s programmes are delivered through our dedicated local partners. Over the past five years, we have supported over 20,000 children in Sierra Leone and Liberia to access education.

At Street Child, we are very proud of our volunteer-based approach, which allows us to keep our overheads low and as much funding as possible is able to go directly to the projects in West Africa. We are currently looking to expand our UK team and are looking for a Corporate Fundraiser to join us in London.

In this role you will promote and manage fundraising activities across a range of income streams. We are looking for a highly motivated, organised and enthusiastic individual to develop, implement, manage and sustain the fundraising strategy to maximise income generation.

Internships at Street Child are guaranteed to be busy and varied and this is a great opportunity to offer real value to our team whilst gaining valuable hands on experience in return. Equally, interns will have the opportunity to shape their own experience according to their skills, goals and knowledge.

This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to play a key role within the growth of an exciting new facet of a rapidly expanding organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Partnerships Manager
  • Research and apply for Charity of the Year partnerships with local businesses
  • Attend networking events within London to expand on Street Child’s contacts network and potential corporate fundraising opportunities
  • Developing Street Child’s local business cash donation collection system.
  • Input to and support the Partnerships Manager to develop a Corporate Fundraising Plan for Street Child
