NB. This role is only available to those willing to be filmed for a brand new BBC3 television programme. This exciting prime time show will follow a shortlist of five potential candidates as they take on a number of challenges set by the employer and compete to win the job. 

The company features the best things for people to eat, see and do in their local area. The brand is synonymous with getting people out to experience what their local area has to offer at unbeatable prices.

This new position will dovetail with existing research and communications functions and will look to tap into consumer trends highlighting the best that local areas have to offer consumers.

This role will have direct impact over customer experience strategy, from businesses partnered with, through to editorial content developed to publicise features.


The role:

  • As guided by the research and sales teams, work to identify the latest local and national consumer experience trends
  • Be able to translate those trends to the local business level – identifying potential new merchants and/or experiences
  • Make inspection/experiential visits to test and feedback on experiences, ensuring that they meet the company’s high standards and bring something new and interesting to the platform
  • Undertake a full audit of potential partner suitability 
  • Work with the PR team to undertake PR and media activities to promote the role and highlight the company’s knowledge of consumer trends - becoming a spokesperson on the latest consumer trends and experiences
  • Own and manage the company’s Experience blog – highlight current and new partner experiences 
  • Work closely with Social Media and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) teams where applicable, to respond to customer queries on experiences, ensuring all posts conform to the company’s tone of voice and style guides
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of social marketing content and campaigns
  • Support the development & delivery and marketing teams 
  • Conduct regular customer research, face to face and online to understand the needs of our customers better
  • Work with our existing merchants to develop their customer offering, through experiencing their services and feeding back on development opportunities 


Key skills and knowledge required: (i.e. those required to fulfil role, including qualifications):

  • Must be willing to travel and remain flexible
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills
  • Experience engaging with and writing for social media and/or in an online environment
  • Open minded and creative with a good sense of humour
  • Confident, charismatic and happy to deal with the media
  • Happy to work independently as well as part of a busy team
  • Ability to establish relationships with customers and staff at all levels
  • Experience acting as a brand ambassador for previous organisation(s)
  • Ability to influence external audiences in an appropriate manner
  • Ability to be discreet and diplomatic when appropriate
  • A natural talent for understanding the behaviours and motivations of our customers along with the ability to translate this understanding into deals we feature.
  • Must be willing to try out an array of experiences which may include;

  1. All manner of sports and similar activities
  2. Experience days
  3. Food tastings
  4. Spa treatments
  5. Medical treatments

  • Full/clean driving licence (essential)
  • Must be a UK resident
