What is the SRA?
Simply, we’re a not for profit membership organisation helping
restaurants become more sustainable and diners make more sustainable
choices when dining out.
We help restaurants source food more sustainably, manage resources
more efficiently and work more closely with their community. And we help
diners identify those restaurants doing the right thing. So, whether a
diner’s sustainability concerns are about Sourcing, the Environment or
Society, the SRA and its members are committed to a change for the

Our independently verified Sustainability Rating system means diners
can choose a restaurant that matches their sustainability priorities. We
recognise restaurants as One, Two or Three star sustainability
champions depending on how they rate against a wide range of criteria
covering 14 areas of sustainability. Whether you’re looking for
sustainable seafood, an all-organic experience or a menu that’s local
and seasonal, our Restaurant Guide
has it covered.
We also help keep sustainability on the news agenda at a local and national level. Our campaign, Too Good To Waste
, is aimed at tackling restaurant food waste.
We believe diners have an essential role to play in supporting those
restaurants that do the right things and encouraging those who need a
