Teach First is an independent charity working to address one of the UK’s most damaging social issues – educational disadvantage. We recruit exceptional graduates and experienced professionals into a two-year leadership development programme during which they become classroom teachers, engage and inspire young people, and develop the skills and behaviours to take up leadership positions. Teach First enables its participants and ambassadors in the classroom to raise the achievement, aspiration, and access to opportunity of children from low socio-economic backgrounds, whilst developing a network of leaders with a life-long commitment to ending inequality in education from both inside and outside the classroom.
