How much you achieve in life should not be determined by how much your parents earn. Yet in the UK, it too often is.  We believe in the power of education to change this.

We are looking for an ambitious analyst and impact expert to provide critical advice to the next generation of game-changing social enterprises in education. Teach First has nurtured and supported the growth of some of the most dynamic start-up and high growth social enterprises in education today.

These social enterprises have been set-up by Teach First teachers in reaction to the challenges and opportunities they saw, on the ground, as teachers. We believe that these and future social entrepreneurs will play a key part in ensuring that one day, no child’s educational success will be limited by their socio-economic background.

The Innovation Unit works closely with these social enterprises and other aspiring social entrepreneurs to unlock the support they need to set up and grow.

We are looking for an expert who can:

  1. Advise social enterprises on how they can measure, evaluate and increase their impact
  2. Find ways for social enterprises to test and increase their collective impact
  3. Use the research to identify the gaps where new innovations are most needed, so that we can focus our early stage innovation work on the real root problems.

You’ll be the social entrepreneur’s source of expertise and advice on measuring their impact. You’ll analyse the extent to which our partner social enterprises make a difference towards the 2022 Impact Goals and identify areas where they could be working together to accelerate progress towards these goals.

You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues in the Innovation team and Research, Evaluation and Impact division to identify where future innovation is most needed, according to the research.

We’re looking for someone who is fired up about educational disadvantage and has a deep understanding of evaluation and impact measurement.

You’ll need relevant experience in impact measurement to give you credibility when working with the social entrepreneurs and should be motivated by the idea of focussing innovation where innovation is needed most.

You’ll need to be effective working in a team and independently, whilst being brilliant at building and managing strong relationships.
