Teach First

Teach First is an independent charity working to address one of the UK’s most damaging social issues – educational disadvantage. We recruit exceptional graduates and experienced professionals into a two-year leadership development programme during which they become classroom teachers, engage and inspire young people, and develop the skills and behaviours to take up leadership positions. Teach First enables its participants and ambassadors in the classroom to raise the achievement, aspiration, and access to opportunity of children from low socio-economic backgrounds, whilst developing a network of leaders with a life-long commitment to ending inequality in education from both inside and outside the classroom.

How much you achieve in life should not be determined by how much your parents earn. Yet in the UK, it too often is. We believe in the power of education to change this.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven relationship builder to join this dynamic charity and help our teachers achieve a positive impact in their classrooms and communities.

As Senior Officer in the newly formed School Relationships team, you’ll support the development of a cross regional school partnership strategy by building new processes, leading on communications and managing matrix relationships. You’ll be the driving force to defining what school partnerships look like and how these partnerships will move us closer to our vision and the 2022 Impact Goals.

This is a crucial role with a national remit. You’ll work closely with the regional teams to develop expertise in our school partnership models and champion school stakeholders to enhance their profile and involvement across the organisation. You’ll establish and share best practice throughout Teach First and build on company-wide understanding of the work we do with schools.

This role is crucial to building on relationships with schools and to ensure information is effectively captured to continuously improve our work. You’ll build and track a partnership framework to ensure Teach First has maximum impact in schools and establish new relationships with Academy chains and Teaching School Alliances. You’ll support on the delivery of innovation projects to schools and ensure that school voice is being heard at a local and national level.

To succeed in this role, you’ll be an excellent relationship builder and stakeholder manager; working across schools, charities, and corporate partners. You’ll have proven experience managing complicated projects and an ability to research and review information. You’ll be confident and flexible with the drive to implement and lead on new projects.
