Shivia is a UK charity providing training, toolkits and capital to some of the poorest people in India and West Nepal so they can increase their earning potential, find employment or start their own small enterprise. For example, Shivia’s livelihood programme helps home-farmers in West Bengal with poultry farming by providing training and poultry tool kits so they can earn additional income.
Shivia is looking for 3 new trustees with a range of expertise and experience from accountancy, working knowledge of India (its culture, religion, regulation and politics) to experience of working in the field with an international NGO. Currently, there are four trustees representing law, banking, private equity and international development.
