After 20 years’ in couture millinery, Jess Collett founded The Candy Milliner because she believes passionately that, although everyone likes to dress up and feel special, not everyone wants to stand out or indeed commit to the cost of a bespoke hat. Many women just want something to lift their outfit - something small yet beautifully designed, easy to wear and well made.
Jess’ mission for The Candy Milliner is to become the go-to hat brand for women, whatever their needs, whatever the occasion. Millinery is one of the oldest fashion sectors but there are no stand-out brands, just one or two famous milliners.
This is the opportunity – to combine the latest online technology with traditional techniques and create an online hat brand like no other.
Jess is looking for a business partner. She has the creative vision, but she needs the business brain to help grow the brand, including pricing, optimising the website, marketing, brand development, future strategy, finance and admin.
