We are seeking a highly organised, system loving graduate with a keen interest in pursuing a career in London’s TV and film industry. To excel in this role, the successful candidate should also hold a genuine passion for architecture, interior design, and London in general.

This is a brand new position for The Collective, and we are looking for an enthusiastic person to ultimately contribute their own ideas and shape the role in-line with the requirements of the company and skills of the candidate.

Although it is an entry level role now, we are very keen to develop this internship into an extremely interesting and productive full time position.

There are three main elements we have in mind for this internship position, in order of priority, they are:

  • Location library maintenance and development
  • Assisting the enquiry department during busy periods or times of annual leave
  • General office administration

Across these elements of the internship, the successful candidate will develop a strong knowledge of film locations and production buildings, gain access to some of London’s most unique buildings and popular film sites, and make valuable contacts in the industry while learning and growing their insight into the TV and film world.

The perfect person...

The nature of our location library requires someone who thrives on organisation and order – maybe a bit of a secret control freak! We are seeking someone who has a genuine interest in architecture, and is excited by the prospect of learning about the various elements that have an impact on how a building can be used as a filming location.

Some key points we would like to find include:

  • A highly organised individual with a love of attention to detail
  • A keen interest and ideally decent knowledge of architecture and interior design
  • Enjoys developing new systems and processes to achieve structure and order
  • Professional and friendly phone manner
  • A solid project manager
  • IT literate to a reasonable level
  • Ideally arrives with a sound understanding of photography
  • Ideally familiar with Photoshop
  • Can drive with a clean licence (owning a car is a bonus but not in any way a deal-breaker)

This role is going to be incredibly varied, so above all we would like to find a candidate who is a confident self-starter with an intelligent and positive outlook.

Experience in the industry is not essential, but an active interest is!

Interested?

For your initial commitment of six months, we offer minimum wage with the intention of setting a bonus package, plus an incremental pay rise at the end of the six months.

Many previous interns are either still at the company in senior positions or are out in the field working as location managers and scouts specifically through the knowledge, training and contacts they have made while working at The Collective.
