The Collective is London’s most highly regarded location agency and are experts in finding productions their perfect locations.

We are an integral part of the search process, regularly engaging with over 3,500 affluent clients who work exclusively on high calibre film, TV and advertising productions.

We are passionate about uncovering high quality, new locations to what is already the most widely-referenced location database in London; the production capital of Europe and third most prolific film making city in the world.

We are extremely privileged to be given the opportunity to work on most of the major productions that come to the Capital. A small selection of recent high profile clients includes Skyfall, Les Miserables, World War Z, Batman: Dark Knight Rises, Downton Abbey, Luther, The X Factor, Call the Midwife and Gambit.

A core value is to make filming a hassle-free experience for both the owners and the hirers of the locations we represent.

The foundation of our current position lies in our unique structure: we have secured the exclusive membership of nearly 180 leading location managers; all of whom work full time in the film, TV and advertising industries. The majority of our location database has been introduced to us by our membership and we donate 25% of our commission back to each introducing member for every hire we administrate. This structure has paved the way for us to become the industry’s most prolific agency.

At the same time, there is vast scope to increase revenue through enhancing the quantity of high value and prestige locations to our location database as well as exploit new revenue streams through widening our offer and current client base.

The Collective is the founding member of The Collective Group also incorporating Canvas Events and Focus Photographic Locations.

Focus Photographic Locations is in its second year of business and has already evolved into a Top Five photographic location agency; working on a regular basis with some recent clients being Vogue, Elle, New Look, M & S and ASOS over the past week or two.

Canvas Events is currently undergoing a radical transformation, shifting its business model from a conventional event venue agency to an event directory service. The aim for Canvas is to deliver the highest standard of service to venue owners and also hirers and become London’s leading event venue directory within 2 years.

All three companies are based in one open plan office in Camden which is a converted warehouse. Due to the short deadline, quick turnaround nature of the hires we administrate, the office environment is fast-paced. We are a close,good-natured and tight knit team of hard-workers focused on continually delivering a high standard of service to every individual and organisation we engage with.

All three companies are led by Antony Iredale, the sole proprietor of The Collective Group.

Antony is seeking an experienced PA with a passion for the media industries we work with, and one who feels they will flourish in an agency environment. We would like to hear from candidates who thrive in a commercial environment; speaking to and meeting new or existing clients who might benefit from a range of services we are able to offer. This position is a combined role; split into two elements:

PA to the Managing Director            3 days per week

Special Projects Manager                   2 day per week

The shared objective of this role is to:

  1. Provide some much needed organisational and research-based resources to the Managing Director
  2. Execute projects with a measurable return over the course of a twelve month period at least equal to the cost of the position.

PA to the Managing Director (3 days)

The Collective Group has evolved significantly over the past 12 months and the group has posted consecutive record results in the last three quarters.

To maintain this momentum Antony needs a skilled PA to work closely with him to initially remove a large amount of his existing workload as well as regularly conducting research exercises revolving around the feature film, TV,advertising, photographic and events industries to assist in the development of all three companies within The Collective Group.

Antony Iredale is about to become a dad for the first time. He would be working with a PA also for the first time!

Because of this, the successful candidate will have a proven track record as a PA or in a comparable role.

The longer term aim is for the PA to become fully in tune with how Antony works and then identify ways to streamline and innovate both his current approach as well as the special projects delegated to you.

Special Project Manager (2 days)

The key aim of these two days is to perform a role that over the course of a 12 month period will produce a measurable financial return which exceeds the overall cost of the combined position.

There are currently a number of potential projects under consideration for the successful candidate to either start from fresh or take the reins from another team member. The final projects allocated will be dictated by their suitability to the individual we select.

A provisional list of potential projects will be sent across to you upon request for your consideration as part of a more comprehensive job description but to give you a sense of the type of things under consideration here is a summarised overview.

  • Introducing our service to interesting new locations
  • Identifying and securing sponsors and affiliates for our organisation
  • Engaging London’s next new major films and TV shows
  • Generating quarterly performance reports
  • Keeping our major contracts happy and up-to-date
  • Location scouting

As there is a performance based element to this position a bonus plan is built in which rewards performance for hitting your target: exceeding the overheads of the role.

In addition to the required level of career experience, we are looking for the following characteristics in the successful candidate:

  • An experienced and ambitious PA with a proven track record of effectively assisting an MD
  • Un-phased at the prospect of picking up the phone to get things moving
  • Warm and professional overall manner
  • Someone who wants to achieve results by exceeding expectations
  • A bright, quick thinking problem solver comfortable with working independently on tasks
  • A candidate excited to be part of and keen to add their contribute to a lively and evolving successful organisation
  • An expert in time management and prioritisation
  • Excited by the prospect of taking ownership of a project to secure new business
  • Familiar with achieving success through a methodical and systemised approach to tasks
  • A team player who understands the value of collaboration
  • Experience and results  in sales or developing new business
  • A passion for the film and TV industry
  • And/or a passion or keen interest in property and the architectural landscape of London
  • An appreciation of print media and advertising
