Senior Sales Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to be the leader of London's market-leading sales team operating at the heart of one of London’s most exciting, dynamic and fastest growing industries - Film and TV. A very small selection of recent elite clients we have secured locations for include Skyfall, World War Z, Downton Abbey, Thor II, Mr Selfridge, Fast and the Furious 6, Red 2, Luther, Call the Midwife and Les Miserables.

The role involves leading a highly talented, motivated and hard-working, six-strong sales team into an era of unprecedented success, implementing strategy, innovation and leadership to maintain the sales team’s position as the first port of call for locations for every leading Film and TV production as well as advertising campaign and music video shot across the capital.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Antony Iredale, the role involves inspirational team leadership and management, the account management of an exclusive portfolio of London’s most prestigious and prolific filming locations, dealing with high profile / high value productions and assisting in the identification of potential improvements across the sales and marketing systems currently in place.

Our ideal candidate is an inspirational, energetic, organised, hands-on manager with an eye for developing talent, and motivating a team. You will also be highly skilled in your own right at the art of negotiation, account management, strategy and project management.

 

About The Collective

The Collective is London’s market-leading location agency, promoting the most referenced and prestigious database of over 2,000 residential and commercial properties for hire as filming locations to every major production taking place within the capital. Our online database has developed into the most important in London and is always at the forefront of consideration of our industry’s professionals.

Our main USP is our membership. There are approximately 250 location scouts and managers working in this city and 70% of those have signed as exclusive members of The Collective. They constantly refer exciting, new locations exclusively to our service and choose to call us first when they need assistance to find locations for their projects.

From our database of 2,000 active properties, we adopt a hands-on, account management role for approximately 50 of these which were hand-picked due to their vast potential and are represented on an exclusive basis. Our Exclusive Collection is growing rapidly and attracts many of our most valuable and highest profile clients and invariably the most complex and interesting projects.

The Collective is part of the wider Collective Group, a group of four companies under one collaborative and creative roof in Camden. The group markets tailored selections of a ‘master’ portfolio of properties through bespoke shop windows engaging the filming, photographic, events and wider production worlds.

 

Candidate requirements

You are an ambitious and highly intelligent professional seeking a suitably dynamic company to truly unlock their potential. You will have:

  • A minimum of 3 years of successful sales and account development experience exceeding targets within an agency environment or similar arena
  • Proven to have inspired teams and raised team performance through strong leadership, training and management
  • A genuine excitement for and/or understanding of media production
  • A passion for architecture, interior design and the London landscape is a must
  • A proven thirst for personal development and constantly educating themselves in business to increase their value and input to the team and organisation

  

Further desirable skills or characteristics are:

  • Touch typist
  • Detail orientated and data-driven
  • A positive attitude with an instinct to deliver praise whenever possible
  • Experience in legalese and comfortable with generating contracts from templates
  • Knowledgeable and excited about digital innovation
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with Adobe or similar design software
