Our database has developed into the most prestigious in London and is at the forefront of consideration of every production working in and around London.
A small selection of recent clients includes Batman: Dark Knight Rising, The King’s Speech, James Bond: Skyfall, Sherlock Holmes II, Spooks, Luther, Misfits and Downton Abbey.
The foundation of our current position lies in our unique structure: we have secured the exclusive membership of nearly 180 leading location managers; all of whom work full time in the film, TV and advertising industries. The majority of our location database has been introduced to us by our membership and we donate 25% of our commission back to each introducing member for every hire we administrate. This structure has paved the way for us to become the industry’s most prolific agency.
At the same time, there is vast scope to increase revenue through enhancing the quantity of high value and prestige locations which are secured exclusively to our location database.
Due to the short deadline, quick turnaround nature of the hires we administrate, the office environment is fast-paced. We are a close, good-natured and tight knit team of hard-workers focused on continually delivering a high standard of service to both property owners and production companies.
Summary of job description
To continue the company’s development, it is essential that we satisfy our industry’s constant demand for new locations by consistently securing representation of new, high quality properties on to our database. We also need to manage the expectations of our members to maintain our positive working relationships with these industry experts; all of whom have been and will continue to be central to our success.
We are seeking a highly articulate and charismatic negotiator with at least 2 years’ experience in a relevant or comparable role take on this exciting position within the Acquisitions department at The Collective.
Success will be gauged on the level of revenue generated for the properties the department secures representation for. You will contract high value and prestigious locations from a combination of leads and introductions provided through our membership of 180 location managers in addition to generating your own leads by adopting, and in time augmenting, tried-and-tested scouting techniques.
A successful formula for securing exclusive representation is already in place but it has to be executed with personality, attention to detail, first class communication and the development of a rounded insight of the requirements and expectations of both a property owner and the film/TV industry. It is also essential that you are passionate about buildings and architecture as well as hold a genuine interest about the film and TV industry.
Your proven management skills will be implemented to manage the workload and development of the current Acquisitions Assistant through guidance and training so they also attain the skillset and experience required to negotiate and secure representation with owners of high value properties.
Working under Head of Acquisitions, you will be expected to have good marketing knowledge as promoting the locations to the industry is as important as securing them, and vital for hitting targets and bonus incentives. This will involve the ability to implement bespoke marketing campaigns for all exclusive locations secured using an existing, effective framework which has scope for refinement and enhancement when placed in the right hands.

- Passionate about the role and the industries we operate in
- Engaging and in possession of a naturally positive attitude as well as an abundance of charisma
- An articulate and persuasive negotiator with strong presentation skills and the proven ability to close a deal.
- Excited by new learning, focused on personal development through work and keen to develop your knowledge of how to execute excellent business practice
- Willing to go that extra mile to exceed targets with a history of success in their career working to a plan and towards a vision
- A highly organised strategic thinker with a constant attention to detail
- A proven, effective man-manager, able to keep their team highly motivated and satisfied in their learning, education and development.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a strong desire to succeed and not happy to go home until the job is done
- IT literate to a reasonable level
- Marketing knowledge across Wordpress, social media platforms and Google.
- A knowledge of the Duct Tape Marketing model preferred but not essential.

For your talent, hard work and commitment we offer a highly competitive salary and bonus package with the opportunity to work in a vibrant creative office environment in Camden.
