An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pro-active Project Manager to become a Co-Founding Member of The Works, Maida Vale.

The Works is a proposed co-working hot-desking space, with crèche, studios and a café.  The Project Manager would need to pick up the project in its current conceptual state and fly with it to the next level.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • An understanding of financial management on both a broad and specific basis
  • Experience of fundraising
  • Social Media experience
  • An ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Preferably you will have:

  • Experience of managing a hub-type work-space or other comparable facility such as a gym
  • Experience of supporting a start-up business to start trading and raise investment

Ideally you will also:

  • Be passionate about community
  • Be passionate about supporting business
  • Have an understanding of the needs of working parents

At the moment, the position is unpaid as the project is in its infant stages, however there is a very real prospect of funding to undertake detailed feasibility work (in the short term) and investment to realise the project and you would need to negotiate an appropriate budget for yourself.  In addition, you would gain experience of entrepreneurship and have the opportunity to work alongside Westminster City Council to get the project up and running.
