We are looking for a multi-talented, enthusiastic Events Manager to join our busy catering company in Battersea. This is the perfect position for a confident, friendly and highly organised individual who wants to work in a small team of passionate foodies. The Events Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the company, maintaining relationships with clients and ensuring the smooth running of all events. Successful candidate will be fully trained by the current Events Manager who is leaving in January.

Our Team:

We are small team of happy, dedicated foodies. There is a family feel to the office - we work collaboratively and everyone is willing to muck in when needed. Business is seasonal so you need to be prepared for busy periods. The chefs prepare lunch for all the staff every day and we try to sit down together to eat (when we’re not too busy!). We sublet our large unit to several other catering companies so it’s a buzzy atmosphere. We have several lovely office dogs who hang out with us. We are constantly developing as a company and ideally would like a candidate who is interested in being part of that growth – creative input is welcomed.

Your responsibilities:

  • Creating quotes
  • Dealing with telephone and email inquiries
  • Managing online events diary and booking jobs
  • Booking event staff
  • Hosting tastings
  • Ordering hired equipment
  • Liaising with clients
  • Invoicing
  • Liaising with the kitchen
  • Packing and maintaining job boxes
  • Advising clients on menu choices, creating bespoke menus with Head Chef
  • On-site running of jobs and managing waiting staff


  • Driving licence
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Familiar with Apple computers
  • Highly organised
  • Basic numeracy
  • Lots of initiative and creativity
  • Self-motivated and able to calmly problem solve
  • Friendly attitude


  • Access to own car or willingness to drive company van
  • Experience in Events or Office Management
  • Knowledge of Excel
  • Passion for food
  • Happy with occasional evening work
