What You Need 

This is first and foremost a fast-paced recruiting role, focused on finding and hiring rough diamonds throughout the EMEA region. But as the Recruiting Lead, you’ll also be responsible for innovative hiring strategies, operational excellence and maintaining Uber quality throughout the candidate’s experience.

Hiring campaigns, global networking, social media — all of these sit under the role. Scaling our operations, continual improvement and a quality focus are the name of the game. Understanding our various EMEA markets and delivering custom hiring solutions is important.  The role requires problem solving skills and creativity.

You must be:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’ll be tasked with partnering with our hiring managers to build local teams.  

You will:

  • Work with our GMs and the Launch teams to build people operations throughout EMEA.
  • Build our HQ function in Amsterdam: business, public policy, legal, finance and communications.
  • Initiate creative hiring strategies and candidate search campaigns, including partnerships and co-marketing promotions to increase awareness and visibility of Uber in target markets.
  • Articulate our strategy and USP to candidates and influencers, and engage in broad discussions about our opportunities and challenges.
  • Spread the Uber LOVE, including campus presentations (MBA) and networking events.
  • Work closely with our US team to improve upon existing programs and develop innovative strategy around finding top talent.
  • Keep ‘em warm! Manage your existing pipeline of candidates and identify what future opportunities they may be a fit for.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO KNOW/HAVE

  • 6+ years in-house or top-tier agency experience or fast-paced international experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, marketing or operations management
  • Degree in business, science, economics or politics from a leading university
  • Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking
  • Creative solutions driven mindset, with a get things done attitude
  • Stellar networking skills and the ability to make smart partnerships happen
  • Entrepreneurial DNA and fear tolerance of a honey-badger
  • Fluency in one or several EMEA languages required
  • Technical savvy
