Why Christmas – why now?
Last year we hosted London’s First Zero Waste Christmas Market and now we’re back for our second year running and expanding into new cities. London was the first city in Europe to host a Zero Waste Christmas Market. We welcomed visitors from all over the UK thanks to national media attention and helped nearly 1,000 of people to have a more sustainable Christmas. This year we’re hoping to reach over 10,000 people!
Now, we’re more aware than ever about what we’re putting into our bins and ever more determined to reduce our waste! Meet over 30 up-and-coming, local and regional zero waste brands catering to food, drink, fashion, personal care, luxury items, homeware, fitness & health, wreaths & decor – there is even more inspiration.
We also have a selection of ticketed workshops.
We encourage you to bring your own food & drink containers and utensils to savour the delicious snack options on-site.
Can I buy a ticket on the door?
We have a select number of tickets to offer online starting with an early-bird discount. We cannot guarantee entry on the day as we have a limited space and lots going on. Our helpful team will be selling any spare tickets on the door, on a first-come, first-served basis, where capacity allows and the price will be at the standard admission of £8.50. Please note, we cannot guarantee entry for those without a ticket and may have to ask you to be patient or come back when it is a little quieter.
Can I bring pets?
Pets are allowed inside the premises. Be sure they’re safe, comfortable in crowds and be advised we have no bins on-site for waste so be prepared to take it away with you.
What about children?
Yes, children are welcome and any child under 12 goes free!
Where can I get a workshop ticket?
Tickets will be released on Eventbrite in October – these are run by the vendor specifically so are costed accordingly. All workshop tickets prices will be additional to the entrance fee for the Market, which you will have to purchase separately. You will require a workshop AND a market ticket to access the entire festive happenings.
Shall I print my ticket?
Since we are Zero Waste – just bring your ticket along on your phone via an email confirmation or on the Eventbrite app.
Can I leave and come back? Yes, you may, but if we are at capacity you might have to wait until we’ve had a few guests leave, so it’s best to come and to stay if you can.
– Eventbrite sales will close at midday on the 14th December.
– The event is all-weather but we do have a cloak room.
– We will have security present and reserve the right to refuse admission and to also kindly remove any individuals displaying inappropriate behaviour, from the premises.
– Sadly, we do not offer refunds but if you’d like to sell your ticket to another attendee you can do so via the Facebook Page.
– We will be taking photographs at this event and using these for social media / promotional purposes. If you do not wish to be included, please speak to the photographer or one of our team members.
– The event is suitable for wheelchairs via lift access.
– We get extremely busy in the week leading up to the event, so be patient if it takes us a few days to get back to you. For anything urgent, email firstname.lastname@example.org
