Job Brief

We believe that the pensions industry is not working for customers and this is leading to uncertainty and fear about retirement. Customers do not think they are getting a good service from their pension provider – 84% feel that their pension provider doesn’t keep them informed, and 50% can’t even name their provider! This problem is only getting worse as people start new jobs and open new pension pots that they then can’t track or interact with. 

We want to change this. We’re building a product that helps people to understand their pension, take control of their future and be confident about preparing for life after work. In this role you’ll be helping to deliver our Retirement service, which is one of our most important missions at Moneybox. You will have the chance to take clear ownership of projects and help us to bring our ambitious roadmap to life.

What you'll do

Take ownership of roadmap items in the Retirement mission, supporting the current team to build out the product strategy. Provide guidance and coaching to Junior Product Managers in the team. Collaborate with user experience, mobile and backend teams in the development of our product features. Work closely with a range of other internal stakeholders, including Insight, Customer Operations, Marketing, and Compliance. Specify product requirements and write clear user stories and feature specifications that are ready to be implemented by the development team. Develop innovative solutions that help our customers with the crucial challenge of saving for life after work.

Who you are

A driven individual who’s looking to build their career at an exciting very-fast-growing company. A product manager who has a proven record of successfully launching products to customers. You understand the steps needed to evolve a product through its lifecycle and know what to look out for to overcome problems along the way. You have strong attention to detail and are able to deliver effectively against tight deadlines. You demonstrate sound judgment and business instinct with a desire to challenge traditional thinking.  You’re excited to solve challenging problems and are comfortable translating ambiguity into actionable requirements.  You are commercially and technically minded – able to understand concepts and explain limitations between marketers and engineers and work well with a broad range of teams.

Experience & Skills

University educated with at least one degree, preferably in a technical subject. Ideally you will have 3+ years’ experience including a Product Management role. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Understanding of the general fundamentals of product management and core structural processes, i.e. problem recognition, analysis, development, testing, development, retesting, launching, etc. Ability to encourage, motivate and develop a diverse group of people towards a challenging goal. Great communication, listening, and stakeholder management skills.
