The role
As Head of Sustainable Development, you will lead the Academy's exciting work around the world, championing the contribution engineering excellence can make to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and global challenges of our time. You will be working in partnership to develop and evolve tailored funding, training and support to researchers, entrepreneurs and professional bodies, convening and empowering an inspiring global community of experts to deliver transformative solutions across the world, often in low-and-middle income countries where the impact of these challenges is felt most deeply.
You will lead a fantastic team of 18 members, supporting them to deliver impactful activities and ensuring this impact is demonstrable to current and future funders.
Who are we looking for?
You will have significant experience working internationally, with multi-million pound budgets and with a strong track-record of strategic management. You will be inspired by supporting the development of exceptional team members and creative and dynamic in your approach.
You will want your work to positively impact - to name just a few - the climate crisis; energy, food and water security; and global inequalities, and be excited to bring new ideas to deliver meaningful change.
While the role is full-time if you feel you are the right person but only open to part-time opportunities please do apply.
