Role Summary:Enhance and implement 1st line risk capabilities.Oversee key risk management activities.Execute risk monitoring, reporting, and governance responsibilities.Promote a strong risk culture that integrates risk management into daily operations.Manage risk processes and treatment plans, ensuring operational risks are within appetite.
Role Requirements:Minimum of 5 years' experience in Operational Risk Management within first and second line of defence teams.Preferably with financial services industry background.Solid understanding of the three lines of defence model.Proven ability to manage complex operational risks, including change, technology, and third-party risks.

The role This is an exciting opportunity to help design and implement enhancements to 1st line risk capabilities for Funding Circle UK, participating in and overseeing key risk management activities and executing applicable risk monitoring, reporting, and governance responsibilities.

What will you be doing? Promoting a strong, continually developing risk culture, where managing risk is simply part of how we work. Driving change and innovation by managing risk “path-to-green” processes and risk treatment plans, as required, providing analysis to ensure Operational risks remain within appetite.
Job requirements 5+ years of work experience in Operational Risk Management, across first and second line of defence teams, preferably in the financial services. Solid understanding of the three lines of defence operating model. Be able to identify complex areas of operational risk, including proven track record of dealing with change, technology, operational and 3rd party risks.
