What will you be doing?
Peaches Womb Cancer Trust is a small charity, with a team of enthusiastic and dedicated trustees. In 2022 we appointed our first employee with further appointments in 2023. Our Trustee board includes health care professionals and researchers who work closely with those affected by womb cancer. This gives us unique insight into their needs and concerns and also an understanding of how dedicated research and changes to current cancer health priorities are vital in helping women with womb cancer live longer healthier lives. As Peaches continues to grow, we have recognised the need to add the expertise of new trustees who have experience of managing a charity in the growth phase. The trustees meet for 2-3 hours every 6-8 weeks with one or two face to face meetings per year. We expect that 2-4 hours per week will be required outside of trustee meetings.
What are we looking for?

Best practice in fundraising Community fundraising Corporate fundraising Charity Marketing Policy writing Risk register review and management Charity law and regulation Charity governance Developing commercial/traded income streams Financial management and accounting Business and strategy management Enterprise and Business Development Grants and Trusts fundraising Knowledge of charity sector Managing Investments Regulatory and/or policy issues in medical charity Service design

What difference will you make?
Peaches Womb Cancer Trust was founded in September 2020 and is the leading UK charity dedicated to improving the lives of those with and affected by womb cancer. Womb cancer is the 4th most common cancer in women, affecting nearly 10,000 women in the UK every year. There is a lack of awareness of the disease and its symptoms amongst the general population and, until recently, there has been very little disease-specific support for patients. Our vision is a better life for everyone affected by womb cancer. Our mission is to improve the lives of those with and affected by womb cancer by raising awareness of the disease and its symptoms, supporting patients by providing reliable information and holding wellbeing and support events, and funding and promoting research.
