In our mission to stop men dying too young, we’re seeking a passionate Finance Manager to join our Santa Monica, CA, based team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our Santa Monica, CA office.
About the role This is an exciting, broad role that encompasses the full spectrum of financial services from day-to-day finance requirements, monthly reporting to supporting the Country Director and Leadership Team in financial modelling and strategy. Providing a comprehensive financial service to the team, you will: analysis of results, measurement of performance indicators and accountability for all aspects of the Canada P&L the financial accounting/statutory/tax/payroll responsibilities for the Canada legal entity; and providing head office accounting, reconciliation and reporting support to the Head of Commercial Performance.
The role requires someone with a very strong ability to manage work requirements from multiple stakeholders with competing priorities, and the flexibility to quickly understand and work on a broad variety of accounting requirements.
You’ll have the opportunity to Produce country reports and work with P&L owners to meet information needs. Investigate, analyse, and explain variances in P&L reporting. Compile and report financial data, KPIs, and analysis to P&L owners and the Head of Commercial Performance. Provide business partnering support to Country Directors, Senior Leadership Team, and People Partner on campaign-related and strategic financial queries. Manage and facilitate the annual budgeting process with P&L owners. Monitor budget performance, highlight issues monthly, and provide functional leads with budget line items for review. Work with US audit firms to ensure timely delivery and audit preparation (schedules & financial statement reporting). Meet all compliance and tax requirements (e.g., T3010s, T4s, GST rebates and returns, property tax rebates). Execute monthly payroll through ADP. Own partnerships accounting process, monitor contracts for billing dates, issue invoices, and ensure timely receipt of payments.
For this role, you’ll need CPA designation with at least 5+ years’ relevant experience in similar roles Must have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills Flexibility to work with a global team across multiple time zones Flexibility to handle last minute issues and projects that are not always within official scope of work Extremely proficient using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Superior attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Must know and live by Movember’s Values as well as possess a strong work ethic, working collaboratively with team spirit Have a positive, can-do approach to finding and implementing creative solutions.
Bonus points for Working knowledge of NetSuite, Concur, ADP and/or Board.
