Role Summary:
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting and financial reporting.
- Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and manage variances.
- Publish timely monthly management accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of yearly statutory accounts.
- Ensure compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS).
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations for complex accounts.
- Lead and manage annual audits.
- Handle company tax filings and R&D tax credit computation.
- Collaborate with the People & Culture team for payroll tax matters.
- Develop internal control policies and strengthen business processes.
- Review and manage accounting service providers.
- Provide support to the finance team and assist in ad hoc projects.

- ACCA/ACA qualification with relevant Financial Accountant experience.

Your role in our team:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to manage all aspects of financial management. This role includes corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, and the development of internal control policies and procedures.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage all accounting operations including Employment Cost Accounting, Inventory Cost accounting, Revenue recognition, and Consolidation.Â
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare and publish timely monthly management accounts.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual statutory accounts.
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance with international accounting standards (IFRS).
- Preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations for complex balances such as share based payment reserve.
- Prepare for, manage, and oversee annual audits.
- Manage and comply with Company tax filings including the preparation of the R&D tax credit computation.
- Liaising with the People & Culture team (& third-party providers where necessary) to ensure that all relevant payroll taxes are paid on time, the payroll posting and associated monthly reports are accurate.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- On a regular basis, review and manage the performance of the company’s accounting services providers.
- Provide cover and assistance to the wider finance team and assist in any other ad hoc projects as required, including exploring better ways of working with departments across the company.
