The Galileo Public Regulated Service Engineer will be part of the PRS and System Security Engineering Unit in the Galileo System Security Service, Galileo Project Office, Galileo Programme Department, Directorate of Navigation. The Galileo System Security Service oversees security-related activities for the Galileo core infrastructure, including the end-to-end system security engineering, design and development of the Galileo Public Regulated Service (PRS) infrastructure, security accreditation and cyber security.
The role entails leading the end-to-end definition, design and qualification of the Galileo Public Regulated Service (PRS) and associated innovative services, ensuring alignment with system expectations, and incorporating lessons learned from the Galileo First Generation design and validation. You will also be responsible for coordinating the design and definition of PRS functions and associated Interface Control Documents in collaboration with the System Engineering, Ground and Space Segment teams, contributing to system architecture and its operational concept.
Job requirements include a master's degree in systems engineering or a related discipline. You should be able to demonstrate that you can work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure as may typically occur in a project team. You should be result-oriented, able to set priorities, and capable of presenting practical solutions both verbally and in writing. You should have good interpersonal and communication skills. You should have the ability to work autonomously, effectively and cooperatively in a diverse, international team environment, defining and implementing solutions in line with team and individual objectives and project deadlines.
