Role Summary:
- Develop effective market access strategies for youth farmers, emphasizing women's empowerment.
- Conduct research and develop partnerships to facilitate a transformative change in climate and economic opportunities for farmers.
- Guide farmers through certification processes and training to meet ambitious scale targets within a five-year plan.
- Collaborate closely with the Country Director to align strategies with organizational goals.
Role Requirements:
- Graduate degree in business administration, marketing, agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in business development, market access, or product development, particularly in the agricultural sector.
- Expertise in product certification and value chain development in fruits, nuts, and spices.
- Strong connections with key commercial players, including buyers, processors, and SMEs.
- Proficiency in financial modeling using Excel or Google Sheets.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Tanzanian agricultural market and farmer behavior.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Tanzania, including to rural areas.
- Fluency in both Swahili and English.

The Role You will develop market access strategies, connecting youth farmers to value chains, and facilitating systems change to enhance climate and economic opportunities for them with a focus on women. Your role will involve research, partnership development, due diligence, certification processes, and farmer training to achieve defined scale targets over five years. You will report to the Country Director.
Job Requirements Graduate degree in business administration, marketing, agriculture, or a related field. At least 2 years of experience in business development, market access, product development, product certification (e.g., Global GAP), and value chain development in fruits, nuts, and spices. Connections with main players in commercialization, including buyers, processors, and SMEs, are advantageous. Excel (can build financial models) or Google Sheets. Understanding of the Tanzanian agricultural landscape, market dynamics, and farmer behaviors. Travel flexibility across Tanzania, including prolonged stays in rural areas. Proficiency in Swahili and English.
