Role Summary:

Role Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in data engineering, ideally within digital products.
- Demonstrated capability in developing data strategies for monetization.
- Proven expertise in building ETL pipelines and handling diverse data sources.
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
- Willingness to work in the central London office for 2-3 days per week.

Funding Circle is looking for a Principal Data Engineer to ensure we are making and adhering to the correct technical decisions for the future of our company. The role of Principal Data Engineer has a core responsibility to ensure that all technical decision making is made pragmatically and effectively, whilst being effectively communicated with delivery teams and wider stakeholders.

The role includes encouraging and mentoring team members in partnership with other disciplines to create value with data across the wider organisation. You will be responsible for technical quality of the data lake and data infrastructure, ensuring systems follow the agreed principles and architecture defined at Funding Circle.
We are looking for someone with preferably 5+ years experience in a data engineering role, preferably in digital products. Experience in building data strategies that drive data monetisation and extensive experience in building ETL pipelines, ingesting data from a diverse set of data sources is required.
