  • Role Summary:
    • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Manager.
    • Facilitate the efficient operation of co-op board meetings.
    • Stay informed about co-operative activities and respond to information requests.
    • Assist with the Community Benefit Funds distribution process.
    • Create newsletters, press releases, social media content, and website updates.
    • Help organize and support the annual joint General Meeting of the co-operatives.
    • Coordinate and assist with local community events as directed by the co-op Directors.
    • Participate in external community events to promote the co-op's mission.

The organisation - Energy4All is a company that works to enhance the delivery of services to the two co-ops and develop the links between the co-ops, their members, the local community and the wider community energy sector.

The role - As a Communications and Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing general administrative support to Energy4All’s Manager, supporting the smooth running of co-op board meetings, keeping up-to-date on all aspects of the co-operatives activities, responding to questions and requests for information from the Co-op Directors, supporting the process of distributing Community Benefit Funds, preparing newsletters, press releases, social media posts, website updates and other communications, being involved in the preparation of the joint Annual General Meeting of the co-operatives and supporting the delivery of these, setting up and supporting local community events as requested by the co-op Directors, and attending events in the local communities organised by others.

Job requirements - The ideal candidate will have the ability to distinguish tone for co-op members versus the general public and may also be involved in providing these services to other Energy4All co-operatives, working with other Energy4All members of staff to strengthen Energy4All’s services to other co-ops, and working with other Energy4All members of staff to enhance Energy4All’s communications.
