What will you be doing?
Headliners Trustees / Non-Executive Directors Time Commitment: 4 to 5 formal meetings each year, plus time to undertake online training and ad hoc support of the charity. Voluntary (non-remunerated) Headliners supports young people through its unique multi-media journalism programme. Young people research and produce stories for publication and broadcast about issues that concern them; campaign for change in their communities and which helps young people make good choices in their own lives. Through our programme, young people develop their language, digital and media skills; improve their confidence, and learn about the world around them. Headliners is seeking to appoint Trustees to strengthen our Board as the organisation continues to take forward an ambitious strategy to increase its social impact in the North East. New Trustees will play a vital role in providing support, strategic insight and good governance to the organisation. What are we looking for?
We are particularly interested in hearing from people with knowledge and expertise in at least one of the following areas:
Finance experience and potentially an accountancy qualification Media or journalism experience Digital marketing experience Fundraising experience Youth development experience
