- Role Summary:
- Lead a dynamic 70-member Tech team to innovate and manage IT solutions.

- Role Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years in the software industry, including 5+ in data/BI.
- Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Superset).
- Familiarity with data processing languages (e.g., numpy, pandas, R, SQL).
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, pytorch, scikit-learn).

About One Acre Fund Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund supplies 1 million smallholder farmers with the agricultural services they need to make their farms vastly more productive. Our 8,000+ team is drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions. With operations across six core countries in Africa, we make farmers more prosperous by providing quality farm supplies on credit, delivered within walking distance of farmers’ homes, and agricultural training to improve harvests. On average, the farmers we serve harvest 50 percent more food after working with One Acre Fund.
The Role Our ~70-strong Tech team delivers and operates a broad range of IT solutions to support our activity, including internal developments and off-the-shelf enterprise solutions used by farmers and field or HQ staff. This includes e.g. mobile apps for field staff to manage farmer's orders and loans or track deliveries, BI solutions to analyze farmer yields, farmer-facing services through e.g. WhatsApp or USSD to manage their accounts, or back-office solutions to manage employee information and requests. Our data engineering and analytics team is 6+ strong and leverages a technical stack that includes Airbyte, Dataiku, Snowflake, and Apache Superset. We are looking to hire a Head of Data and Analytics; you will report to the CTO.
Job Requirements 10+ years of experience in the software industry, including 5+ years in a data / BI role. Experience in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Superset, and data processing and querying languages (numpy, pandas, R, SQL.) Experience in machine learning algorithms and frameworks (TensorFlow, pytorch, scikit-learn, LangChain...)
