Role Requirements:Significant senior communications experience with a focus on advocacy, strategic communications, storytelling, and media relations.Background in the health sector, with the ability to translate complex health information for the public.Experience in Social Impact and Corporate Communications.Proven success in building and leading a global communications team.Collaborative work with external agencies, media, and partners.Exceptional analytical, writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.Strong team management and mentorship abilities.Expertise in negotiation, influencing, and presentation.Competency in managing a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

The Global Director of Communications leads Movember’s Communications team, within Marketing and Communications. The Communications team is responsible for strategy and delivery across earned channels (including press) and owned channels (including social media and marketing automation).
As the Global Director of Communications, you will play a pivotal role in developing and overseeing the execution of our worldwide communication strategies. This position will be instrumental in advancing and defining several key objectives, including raising awareness about the significance of focusing on men's health and its positive impact on society. It also entails shaping public attitudes and garnering support for our policy goals, fostering understanding and affinity among our diverse stakeholders, both new and existing, to enhance Movember's reputation and influence as a frontrunner in the field of men's health.
Your knowledge and experience: Significant senior communications experience that includes a blend of advocacy, strategic communications, storytelling, and media relations. Experience in the health sector, to translate complex health information into compelling mass communication. Solid experience and time working in the Social Impact space, in addition to Corporate Comms. Demonstrated track record in building and leading a global communications team. Experience working with external agencies, media, and partners to achieve best outcomes. Strong analytical, writing, editing and verbal skills for communicating with broad and diverse stakeholders. Strong team management experience – acting as a mentor to the team. Ability to work with executive and senior management; excellent negotiation, influencing and presentation skills. Ability to effectively manage a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation.
