  • Role Summary:
    • Management of machine setup and tuning for optimal packing line operation.
    • Routine maintenance and quality checks to ensure production targets are met.
    • Recording and reducing downtime, and adjusting machinery for quality maintenance.
    • Supporting overall production flow with various packing line tasks.
  • Role Requirements:
    • Hands-on experience with semi-automated machinery in a production/packing environment.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
    • Aptitude for problem-solving and operating with autonomy and initiative.
    • Knowledge of production procedures and health and safety standards.

in summary...

we are looking to expand our team of Machine Operators to manage setup, tune-up and monitoring of the packing line machinery, improving OE with minimal downtime.

what does the role involve? 
setting up the case packer machines ready for production.
running routine maintenance of machinery.
ensuring quality and productivity targets are met consistently.
recording and monitoring downtime. 
adjusting the machine as needed to improve quality and maintain line speeds.
carryout in process quality checks at specified intervals and record downtime.
other packing line duties as required to support the smooth running of production.

we would love to hear from candidates who have recent hands on experience with machinery, an inner understanding of how machines work, and are keen to learn with a can-do attitude. you will be able to demonstrate good problem solving skills and take pride in your work. 

you will need..... 


recent and relevant hands-on experience with semi-automated machinery in a similar production/packing environment 

to be keen to learn and able to quickly adapt to change

to be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills, and act on your own initiative as well as follow instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

an understanding of best practice production procedures and health and safety regulations.

Applicants must have current work authorisation in the UK.

this role will be based at our warehouse in Paddock Wood, the shift pattern is Monday to Friday, from 7am to 5pm (45 hours per week) with 1 hour of unpaid breaks during each full shift
