ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for an Advisory Associate to support our global advisory team by primarily providing operational and administrative support to our advisors. Founders Pledge Advisors are responsible for guiding and supporting our members' philanthropy, and as Advisory Associate, you will ensure that the Advisory team as a whole is as efficient and effective as possible.

Your days will vary depending on the team's needs. Sometimes, you'll be supporting inbox/calendar management and entering data into Salesforce. Other days, you'll be creating persuasive materials to help the advisors bring their recommendations to life.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting our Advisors in their preparation and documentation of meetings and consultations and inputting outcomes and notes into our CRM (Salesforce)

  • Developing materials such as slide decks, one-pagers and spreadsheets that complement our Advisory service and ensure the service is professional and well-presented. This could vary from descriptions of specific charities to broader explanations of a charitable theory.

  • Ensuring our CRM is overall fit for purpose for our Advisory needs and contributing to its continual improvement

  • Managing the data integrity of our Advisory service such that we can maintain high-quality information on our members’ philanthropy to inform our approach to stewardship

  • Helping make sure the Advisory team and cross-functional processes are smooth and efficient

  • Working cross-functionally to help triage inbound, internal requests and referrals for the Advisory team to ensure that our Advisors are working on the highest-impact activities and able to prioritize their workload

ABOUT YOU:

This role is perfect for someone who has a strong background in executive support, who excels at anticipating the needs of the team, managing complex information with discretion, and transforming it into polished, influential materials that drive strategic decisions. You will be excited by the prospect of working in a team that has a direct influence on a large amount of philanthropic capital and the potential of moving those funds to high-impact funding opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be comfortable working across time zones supporting a distributed team with staff in the UK and US, and you will need to have an ability to take initiative in finding ways in which you can support the team. You’ll have a keen attention to detail, emotional intelligence, and a mindset that allows you to focus on maximising the impact of yourself and those around you.

You will need to have:

  • Experience with administrative/operations/executive support, including occasional calendar and inbox support, preparing briefing materials, and document/materials management

  • Keen interest in or experience within the non-profit sector, ideally with a strong understanding of effective giving principles

  • Excellent GSuite skills (Docs, Sheets, Slides) ideally with a good design eye

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Comfort working with data, including data entry and drawing insights from data

  • Great interpersonal skills

  • Comfort with discretion and confidentiality practices

Why work with us?

You can find more about the benefits we offer here, but what makes us truly special is both our mission and our people. We’re a diverse team, from both charitable and commercial backgrounds, who believe that amazing things can happen when we tackle problems together. We offer a flat structure and an opportunity to help shape the future of philanthropy

We ask that applicants for this role are based in the US, and either reside in and/or are willing to work EST hours. There's no expectation for you to attend an office on a regular basis. At the same time, if you think you’d benefit from a desk in a co-working space close to your home, this can be arranged. Otherwise, you just need a great home wifi connection and we’ll provide you with everything else you need to be successful in your role.

We bring the global team together once per year for a global offsite. This is a week of collaborative learning, ideas generation and socializing. In addition to this, each team has the opportunity to meet together at least once per year.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at Founders Pledge. We seek people with different strengths, experiences, and backgrounds who share our drive to understand and solve complex social challenges. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Finding solutions to the world’s most pressing problems requires different perspectives and unique ways of thinking. We are committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can do their best work.
