Role Summary
- Assist the R&D Division in analyzing diverse agricultural trial data.
- Manage independent research projects leveraging big data, including historical trial data and open-source datasets.
- Lead the Data sub-team within the Agricultural Innovations department.
Role Requirements
- A Master's degree in data science, statistics, or a related field or equivalent experience showcased e.g., via Github.
- Proven ability to utilize data science techniques to address complex issues.
- Proficiency in R and/or Python, with a preference for skills in spatial analysis.
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda is essential.

About the Role You will support colleagues in the R&D Division in the analysis of trial data and also manage standalone ("optimised agronomy") research projects utilising big data (longitudinal datasets and meta-analyses) from several sources including historical/legacy trial data and open source data. You will report to the Agricultural Innovations department lead and will lead the Data sub-team.
Job requirements Master's degree in data science, statistics or related field, or demonstrated experience e.g., on Github. Demonstrated experience in applying apply data science techniques to solve problems. Proficient in R and/or Python, and preferably in spatial analysis. Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda.
