  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance risk models and support strategic risk operations initiatives.
  • Develop and optimize rules and models to equip operational teams in managing risk events.
  • Take charge of model stability and performance, ensuring their continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in data-intensive settings.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and modeling.
  • Knowledge of Python or R is a plus.

The Role We are actively looking for a Merchant Risk Analyst to enhance our in-house risk models and support a number of strategic initiatives across the Risk Operations Department at Checkout.com. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, develop rules, and design models that empower operational teams to effectively manage and respond to risk events. You will also take ownership of maintaining the stability and performance of these models, ensuring continuous improvement, upgrades and optimizations.

Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics or a related field 1+ years experience in a similar role, preferably in a data intensive environment, with large data sets Able to implement algorithms to solve business problems SQL Skills to extract and model data from a variety of data sources Knowledge or experience using Python or R would be an advantage
