The organisation - Why they are exciting: Surfers Against Sewage is one of the UK’s most successful marine conservation and campaigning charities. We have grown from a handful of activists to a nationwide movement over the last 30 years. Our heritage is anchored in the ocean, but our reach and influence now permeates communities and institutions nationwide.
The role - what the role entails: As a Community Fundraising Coordinator, you will build relationships with fundraisers and community members, colleagues and suppliers. You will also be data and process savvy, and have experience of delivering projects and providing administrative support. You will work closely with, and be supported by, the Senior Community Fundraising Officer.
Job requirements: You will need experience of carrying out administrative tasks, implementing new processes, and working across a variety of tech platforms. You should be proficient in using CRM systems to create and maintain records, basic reporting and automating processes. You should also have strong administrative skills, with the ability to adapt to changing processes and needs.
Benefits: We offer a flexible approach to working hours between 7:30am and 6:30pm, and we provide Time Off In Lieu when staff are required to work occasional evenings or weekends. Our contracts specify working hours, but we focus on outcomes over where, when, and how people work. We also offer 25 days of annual leave (pro rata), increasing each January up to 28 days, plus Bank Holidays.
