  • Audit and tax experience highly beneficial.

The role of Senior General Accountant involves being responsible for internal controls and ensuring the policy of Ecotone. You will monitor this adequately and become the specialist in complex technical, financial, and tax issues. Additionally, you will ensure a correct monthly profit and loss account (P&L) and balance sheet (BS) of the entities. This will be done in collaboration with the Business Controller and the SCC. Your tasks will include processing monthly closing and reporting activities, ensuring direct and indirect tax compliance, accounting for bank transactions not linked to suppliers or cash receipts, reconciliation of bank statements, and setting up, closing, and merging entities within the region as required by the company.

Job requirements include a minimum of 5 years of work experience in Finance & Accounting, preferably in a multinational within the FMCG sector, a university degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent, advanced knowledge of the MS Office suite, especially Excel, knowledge of SAP (required) and experience with the Tagetik tool (a plus), fluency in English and Dutch, availability for 32 hours per week, and experience with audits or taxes is a strong advantage.
