The Civic Power Fund is a new fund for grassroots community organising. We are the first donor fund dedicated to community organising. We provide targeted long-term funding in key geographies across the UK. We are governed by movement builders, with board members drawn exclusively from leaders of social purpose organisations. We work with organisations as partners, employing a trust-based and participatory grantmaking approach.

The role entails working with a group of funders to build a new long-term programme to invest in community organising led by refugees, migrants, asylum seekers and diaspora communities. We are providing multi-year funding to 15 ‘tentpole’ groups; those groups with both deep roots in their community but also the capacity to lift up smaller groups around them, ultimately building a broad tent of collective, community power. Alongside this, we are providing wraparound support to support the groups to build strong community alliances and win national change.

Job requirements include a two year coaching and training programme led by Act Build Change Access to our in-house Governance Hub and support on HR and designing joint campaign propositions Active convening and networking with others working across the migrant rights space.
